A Practice Built Around the People It Serves

Wai Thong was founded to make pension-related legal matters less daunting for those approaching or in retirement.

Our Story

Wai Thong was established in Bangkok by a small group of legal professionals who had spent years working within the Thai pension system and seen, first-hand, how difficult it could be for retirees to understand their own entitlements. The paperwork was dense, the language formal, and the processes rarely explained in a way that felt accessible.

The practice was set up to address that gap. We started with a simple idea: that legal assistance should be offered at the pace and in the language that suits the client, not the adviser. Every consultation at Wai Thong begins with listening. We ask about your situation before offering any view on it.

Over the years we have helped hundreds of clients in Bangkok and the surrounding provinces understand their pension positions, query reductions, and work through more involved matters with steady, patient support. The practice remains small by choice — we have no interest in volume at the cost of care.

Our Mission

To provide thoughtful, accessible legal assistance for pension matters — delivered with clarity, patience, and genuine respect for every client's circumstances.

Our Values

  • Clarity above all. We do not use legal jargon when everyday language serves better.
  • Respect for your pace. Decisions are made when you feel ready — never rushed.
  • Honest expectations. We set out what is likely and what is uncertain, without overpromising.
  • Transparent fees. All charges are agreed before any work begins.

Our Team

A small, experienced group of legal advisers and support staff — each committed to the same careful, client-centred approach.

Our Professional Standards

The standards we hold ourselves to — not because they are required, but because they reflect how we believe legal assistance should be provided.

Thai Bar Association Membership

All legal advisers at Wai Thong are registered members of the Lawyers Council of Thailand, holding current practising certificates.

Client Confidentiality

All client information is held in strict confidence. We do not share personal details with third parties except where legally required or explicitly authorised.

Written Engagement Terms

Before any work begins, we provide a clear written summary of what has been agreed, including scope, fees, and expected timelines.

Thorough Case Review

Every matter is reviewed carefully before advice is offered. We do not provide quick, generic responses to situations that require considered examination.

Continuing Professional Development

Our team follows ongoing training in Thai pension law and social security legislation to keep advice current and accurate.

Dignified, Respectful Service

We measure our quality not only by legal outcomes but by how clients feel throughout the process — supported, respected, and well-informed.

Pension Legal Assistance in Bangkok

Wai Thong operates from Lumphini, Bangkok, and serves clients throughout the city and the wider Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Our work centres on the Thai Social Security Act, the Government Pension Fund Act, and related legislation governing retirement benefits for both private and public sector employees.

Pension matters in Thailand can involve the Social Security Office, the Government Pension Fund, employer contributions, and benefit calculations that depend on years of service, contribution records, and applicable rates. We help clients understand how these pieces fit together and what their actual entitlement looks like.

When a pension has been reduced or a payment delayed, there are formal processes through which a challenge or query can be raised. These processes have specific requirements — particular forms, particular timeframes, and particular documentation — and navigating them without support can be stressful. Wai Thong handles that process on your behalf, keeping you informed in plain language throughout.

For more involved matters — those requiring formal submissions, ongoing representation, or coordination across multiple documents — our Full Pension Care Package provides steady, end-to-end support from start to conclusion.
